One of the common issues faced when using a projector with a MAC desktop is the absence of sound despite having audio on the computer itself. This guide aims to address and troubleshoot this problem step by step.
1. Check Physical Connections:
Ensure all cables are securely connected. Sometimes, the audio cable might not be properly plugged in or might be faulty, leading to the absence of sound. Try reconnecting the audio cable between the MAC and the projector.
2. Adjust Sound Settings on MAC:
- Go to System Preferences: Click on the Apple logo on the top left corner of your MAC screen, then select "System Preferences.
- Sound Settings: Click on the "Sound" icon.
- Output: Check the "Output" tab to ensure the correct output device is selected. Sometimes, when connected to a projector, the MAC might default to the projector’s video output but not its audio output.
3. Restart Devices:
Sometimes, a simple restart can fix technical glitches. Turn off both the MAC and the projector. After a few minutes, restart both devices and check if the sound is now working.
